This Crystal Navajo rug has a few Bisti characteristics, but I do not consider it a Bisti.
The Design Of This Weaving Features Two Large Lattice Work Concentric Double Diamonds With Small Red And White Diamond Centers.
These Motifs Float Nicely On The Carded Brownish Gray Field Color. In The Four Corners Of The Field Are Small Copper Brown Crosses.
The Border Of This Navajo Piece Is What Really Sets It Apart From Weavings.
The Border Is Five Layers Deep; Within The Inner Most Layer Is A Dark Brown To Black Ribbon; Next Is The Signature Bisti Checkered Red And Gray Border.
The Outer Border Is A Tri-Colored Copper Brown, White, And Black Meandering Greek Key Pattern.
- Rug Size: 50" x 72"
- Colors: Natural Hand Carded and Blended Medium Brownish Gray. Natural Variegated Black/Dark Brown, Natural Ivory White and Aniline Dyed Copper brown and Cardinal Red.
