Transitional Navajo Blanket 1136

  • Description: At the top and the bottom of this Transitional Navajo blanket are three bands of red, white and black. The lightning bolt patterns are black and white until just below the cross in the center. The black changes to dark blue or purple. The field is a very nice red with some variegation. Between the outside lightning bolt and the interior lightning bolts are blocked Z like designs of white and black on the top, and dark blue and white on the bottom. This combination of colors continues in the blocked crosses above and below the center.
  • Rug Size: 52″ x 77″
  • Colors: Red, black, dark blue or purple, and white.
  • Condition: Excellent

  • Other Details: Very well woven. At the tag end white band, the dark shows through a little. Lazy lines. An outstanding old blanket.
